No fee is charged for library cards issued to Winslow residents, taxpayers, or town employees. A fee of $1 is charged for replacing lost cards.
Non-resident Fees Non-residents will be charged $30 for their first year’s membership and $25 for renewals. A nonresident card will allow the holder's family to borrow if the family member's name is listed on the back of the card. We also have a part-year resident card for $10 for 4 months.
Borrowing Privileges New card holders are limited to: · two (2) items the first time they borrow, and · only two (2) videos or DVDs each time they borrow for the first six (6) weeks of their membership.
Audio-books & Movies The library has a collection of audio-books, videotapes, DVDs, music cassettes, CDs and CD-ROM programs which may be borrowed. The policy for borrowing these items is available at the circulation desk. Only four (4) videos, DVDs or CDs total per household may be checked out at one time. Videos and DVDs are nonrenewable.
Circulation Limits Eight items may be checked out at one time to individual patrons unless special permission is granted by the director. The latest issue of each magazine does not circulate until the next arrives. Patrons may photocopy from magazines as needed. Books may be renewed over the phone once for an additional two week loan period but then items must be returned to the library.
