Meeting Room and Showcases

The Meeting room at Winslow Library is a modern accessible climate controlled room offering space to nonprofit community groups and organizations in the Winslow area.

 

Schedule of Fees : 

Up to 4 hours ........$20 

Over 4 hours ........$30 

Small conference room $10, up to 4 hours 

 

Reservations: To reserve the meeting room, contact the Library at 872-1978 or e-mail the library at wplill@winslow.lib.me.us.

  • Reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis. 
  • The meeting room is reserved for the use of community only and not for profit organizations. No group whose purpose is commercial in nature may use the room, even if the planned event meets other criteria. 
  • No admission fee may be charged for any event, nor may collections be taken, funds solicited, or any direct sales made. 
  • All meetings held in the Library meeting room must be open to the public. 
  • Attendance at a meeting may be no more than 50, the maximum number of people certified by the fire department as the occupants of this room. 
  • Reservations must be made for the specific hours, and groups must leave promptly at the conclusion of the specified time. 
  • Use of the room which disturbs in any way the library or library users is prohibited. 
  • Smoking and drinking (alcoholic beverages) are not permitted in the meet-room or in any other part of the building. 
  • Facilities may be used only for light refreshments. Coffee maker, cups and utensils are not supplied by the library. 
  • No signs, posters, displays or decorations may be put up without prior permission. 
  • Groups are responsible for their own set-up of tables, chairs, etc., and must clean up the room, returning it to the condition in which they found it, after completion of the meeting.
  • Set-up and clean-up must occur within the time reserved for the meeting. 
  • Neither the name nor the address of Winslow Library may be used as the address for groups or organizations using the meeting room.

Showcases

  • We have a collection of dolls donated in memory of Winslow High School Class of 1932 by Leola McCaslen Roberts and Elmer William King.
  • Tole painting on display by Sandra Pellerin.
  • Mr. Rudy Fougere’s painting of Fort Halifax is hanging in the Josiah Hayden Room along with other prints and paintings of the Fort.
  • Anyone interested in displaying a collection, crafts or anything else you think might be of interest to our patrons please call the library at 872-1978 and we will arrange for display of your items.
